Don Strange, Eastern U.S. Regional Manager, Interstate Brick and HC Muddox is acknowledged nationally as an expert in all areas of design, detailing, and installation of masonry systems, with over 25 years of experience to share. Don first joined the Interstate Brick team in 1995 as the Southeastern Territory Manager and has since consulted with design and construction teams across the United States. His areas of expertise include plan review, preliminary budget estimates, thermal and moisture wall analysis, life cycle costing, value engineering, and LEED™ strategies in masonry. With his diverse background and constant exposure to the latest masonry technologies, Don has enjoyed many opportunities to assist in the successful prevention and resolution of numerous masonry challenges across the country, both simple and complex. His brick experience includes paving, thin brick, veneer, load bearing, panels, and curtain wall systems and runs from small residential to large commercial and institutional. Don is a licensed General Contractor (FL), a Certified Structural Masonry Inspector (FL & GA) and a LEED™ Accredited Professional. He also has a solid background in architectural representation for numerous brick and stone manufacturers at the local distribution level in both Atlanta and Charlotte, and has worked on projects as a bricklayer, foreman, and estimator. He travels frequently from his home just outside Kansas City, MO. |
