Michelle K. Perez, Northeast Territory Manager for Interstate Brick is the newest member to the Interstate family and brings with her a fresh and exciting approach to the use of clay masonry and how it contributes to the life cycle of a project. With ten years of experience as a commercial interior designer directing the interior architecture and exterior elevations for client projects ranging in size from 10,000 SF to 150,000 SF, Michelle offers a unique perspective when it comes to creating dimension, texture, and scale with a vast array of building materials. As a legacy LEED, AP with an ID+C designation, Michelle has both the experience and commitment to remain current in the ever evolving world of sustainable design. With a focus on LEED intents, Michelle approaches each project with a holistic and balanced approach. Michelle is an active member with the USGBC local New Jersey and Urban Green chapters. Michelle also serves on the leadership team for ASID New Jersey and LMNOP, a New York City based professional development society that was created by and for the architectural and design community. Michelle grew up in Michigan where she graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Development. Upon moving to east coast in 2005, Michelle’s love for architecture brought her back to school where she earned a subsequent degree in Interior Design from the renowned New York School of Interior Design. |
