Shannon Perry, Midwest Territory Sales Manager, joined Interstate Brick in 2005, during which time she has established herself as a valuable building envelope consultant among the architectural community in her eight-state territory. She is solidly established as a professional resource for all masonry wall systems, in particular those designed with structural clay brick. Prior to joining Interstate Brick Shannon worked with a local brick distributor in Detroit for several years promoting numerous masonry products to architects and selling directly to mason contractors. Before entering the world of masonry Shannon practiced as a licensed architect in Michigan for over 16 years. As an architect Shannon was involved in projects of varying building types including municipal, education and aviation in sizes from 3,000 SF to 2,200,000 SF. She spent nearly two years as the lead architect on a construction site full time, in addition to her seven years with an architectural firm that offered construction management services. Shannon is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is active in her local chapter where she recently served a term as the Events Coordinator, responsible for providing monthly educational seminars to the members. In addition to her daily responsibilities as an Interstate Brick manager Shannon has encouraged and consulted on new marketing material, established new AIA accredited continuing education and distributor training programs, promoted the establishment of a BIM library and became a LEED™ Accredited Professional. Shannon holds a Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan, a curriculum which included time at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. |
