The Interstate Brick / H.C. Muddox way is the pursuit of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation of a building product that has been used for centuries. For decades, Interstate’s / Muddox ’s focus has been on reducing project life cycle costs, energy conservation, material reduction and reuse, improving the environment, developing sustainable solutions and reducing the carbon footprint of our products. We embraced the reality of these concepts long before their current use as “green” buzz words.
When USGBC-GBCI developed the LEED-AP program, Interstate / Muddox jumped on board. In a community with over 200 brick manufacturers represented by 9 LEED AP’s nationwide, Interstate Brick / H.C Muddox employs 3 of the 9 – one third. The Interstate / Muddox team listed below marks some of the most qualified, educated, and influential green building - exterior envelope professionals in the marketplace. We welcome your questions.

Eastern Territory Manager
Joe Loffredo, Northeast Territory Manager, is a new addition to Interstate Brick in 2016. Joe brings over 20 years of construction related experience. Joe started working with his father, an artisan stone mason, at a young age in the family masonry contracting business where he gained a multitude of hands on experience for over a decade. Joe then moved on to working with one of the most well respected stucco and brick contractors in NJ where he honed his skills and became one of the top producers during his tenure. Most recently Joe ran a multi-million dollar branch office for one of the largest exterior maintenance, repair and restoration service providers in the Mid-Atlantic region for almost six years. Joe brings his expertise in exterior residential and commercial façade restoration and repair focusing on exterior wall systems including but not limited to precast concrete, E.I.F.S., brick, CMU block, stone veneer, acrylic & polyurethane coatings and sealants.
Joe has been a part of successfully producing over $20mm worth of projects of more than 50mm square feet. Joe prides himself on being involved in his projects from start to finish. One of Joe’s most successful projects was a five story condo restoration in Philadelphia PA. The project had over 4 different scopes of work and had to be staged in a way to reduce job site obstructions to residents as well as accommodating a work force from out of town. At the end of 12 weeks the job came in on time and on budget. The total cost was just under $500k and the project finished above the projected margin. Joe understands that in this industry sometimes you have to wear different hats and Joe has worn most if not all from sales to production, operations and project management.
Joe has been a member of a myriad of trade associations over the years in the construction and commercial real estate industries. Joe most recently attained his LEED Green Associate credential through the U.S. Green Building Council. Joe is committed to sustainable construction and methods and is continuing his education in the field.
