Description
Respecting the history that precedes it, 200 Occidental was designed to honor the Pioneer Square neighborhood’s existing architecture while enhancing the contextual character with a modern, deeply-green interpretation. A high-performance curtain wall provides sun shading and a reflective backdrop to the adjacent Occidental Park, echoing and animating the features of this important public space. The building will become a keystone project for Pioneer Square, Seattle’s beloved historic district. It will celebrate sustainable design with its LEED Platinum and Green Globes designations, and will open a new chapter for the adjacent Occidental Park. The 120’ tall structure is the tallest office building in the neighborhood, offering 8 floors of modern, Class A plus work space. This Project is a perfectly blended recipe of modern convenience and historic charm, accentuated by a cutting-edge design that preserves and celebrates the natural environment in the heart of the historic district.
